What you can look forward to In The Brown Bag Letter are writings about personal history before it is lost. I believe history is much more than ancestry statistics, wars, leaders, and natural wonders.
This blog will be a collection of antique photos, from the mid-1800’s to early 1900’s. Most of the photos and portraits I’ve acquired are anonymous. I find it so sad that we will never even know where these people have come from, or what their real names are. In order to fill in some personal history and help these wonderful memories not completely fade, I collect stories about grandparents. I’m the kind of gal that isn’t a stranger to anyone and yes, I will ask complete strangers about their grandparents. I am frequently invited as a story-teller to senior living groups and nursing homes to tell and collect stories. Hearing the blessings, hardships and tales of our ancestors is great fun and has helped me to grow as a human being.
You can add to the fun!
